Objectives:

Phoenix partners aim to strengthen the resilience skills of pre-service teachers and support the development of inclusive teaching practices in Higher Education. Through a set of practical resources, including a MOOC, a Resilience Handbook and immersive VR workshops, the project will help future teachers prepare for real-world classroom challenges. The VR scenarios will be designed to represent diverse classroom environments and allow pre-service teachers to practise their resilience skills in different contexts.

Activities:

Phoenix partners will develop a MOOC for Teacher Training for Pre-service Teachers (6 courses); a Theoretical and Practical Handbook for Resilience Building so that they can create healthy teacher-student relationships based around the resilience of the teachers. We will also develop 4 VR scenarios which will help to build and develop the practical skills and competences of pre-service teachers. Through our piloting, we aim to engage 510 pre-service teachers in training across WP2 and WP3.

Results:

By combining targeted online resilience modules, a handbook for relationship building, and comprehensive impact assessments, Phoenix aims to develop and pilot a multifaceted approach to foster innovation, adaptability, and inclusion within teacher education, contributing to the evolution of modern pedagogical practices. We will develop:

  • 6 MOOC Modules for pre-service teachers6 MOOC Modules for pre-service teachers
  • Theoretical Handbook for pre-service teachers
  • 4 VR Scenarios to build the resilience of pre-service teachers

We look forward to a productive collaboration for academic and professional achievements.
